AP Ledger Entry Enquiry
AP Ledger Entry Enquiry presents a focused investigation of an accounts payable entry and its relationships.
Concepts
What Is a Financial Ledger? explains the AP subledger and immutable entries.
Financial Document Processing explains how supplier documents post.
Control Accounts explains how AP entries connect to the general ledger.
Selecting the data
Start from the entry identifier or a link from an AP list. Confirm the selected company and the supplier, document, dates, and amount before interpreting the result.
Reading the detail
Use the enquiry relationships to follow the source bill, payment, credit, applications, reversal, control account, and journal. The purpose is to explain how one supplier movement contributes to balances and settlement.
Source and scope
The enquiry assembles existing immutable records. It does not change the entry or settle an amount.
Refresh and export
Refresh before relying on recently posted activity. Export where the screen offers it, and record the selected company and filters with any output used as evidence.
Corrections
This is an enquiry screen. Do not try to alter a ledger result here. Correct the source setup where appropriate, or post a supported correcting document or reversal so the financial and audit histories remain complete.
